I get a lot of email from readers of my blog who are either looking for help using a piece of software I've written or are waiting for part 4 of my GTK+ Tutorial. Over the last 2 years, as many of you have become aware, I have not dedicated any time to maintaining this website or answering your questions.
When I started this website, I was in my early 20's, traveling around the United States, living in my '91 Toyota Pickup, and doing freelance programming out of libraries and cafes. I had a lot of free time to write articles and share my code, experiences, and knowledge.
Now-a-days I'm kept pretty busy working full-time as a web developer, running my own company (Green Tackle), being a a boyfriend and being a home owner. Throw in the numerous hobbies I've collected over the years and time gets pretty sparse. I even tried writing a PyGTK book and had a few sample chapters written up before I realized I wouldn't have time for such an endeavor (perhaps if I get enough requests from y'all).
After looking over some of my blog's statistics, I realized there are a surprisingly large amount of you out there still reading and even subscribing to my blog. I was shocked to learn that people are still successfully using some of those PHP4 classes I wrote 5 years ago. I decided to set aside some time for this site and spent a large part of this weekend re-writing this blog software from scratch.
I am now ready to continue sharing my thoughts and lessons learned, but, I have a lot of interests outside of the scope of computers, programming, and robotics. Going forward I will try to continue with the geeky stuff but also throw in other things that may be of interest to people out there on the interwebs.
Thank you to all of those who have expressed kind words, gratitude, and even Paypal donations for the work I've done.
